INTRODUCTION
Raising money for your organization takes time and energy from your already busy
life. In the opening session, we will consider what is required of you to do effective
fundraising, how to set realistic goals for yourself, and why making this commitment
is essential.

CLOSING SESSION
Tracks I and II rejoin for a demonstration of GiftWorks fundraising software that
may greatly benefit their organization. Thanks to a recent grant, this software
is available at no-cost or low-cost to non-profit organizations!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
TRACK I: GETTING STARTED
Is this you? Ms. Smith down the street slips you a twenty to take your club kids
on a trip. The local grocer provides drinks for your outreach event. The city gives
you get a small grant for program supplies. All are donors that need to be recorded,
thanked, and tapped in the future.
For beginners who have not yet developed a donor base, you will:
Identify your current supporters.
Establish ways to keep track of donors.
Create a strategy to expand your network.
Develop a plan to keep donors giving.
By the end of Track I, participants will have started a donor "database" and have
an initial plan to use it.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

TRACK II: GETTING EFFICIENT

Is this you? Dr. Johnson gave you a check at the end of last year, but you haven't
been in touch with her since. You need a strategy for keeping in touch and a plan
to carry you throughout the year.

For organizations that have identified a donor base but are in need of strategies
and systems to maximize their efforts.

Begin a Strategic Fundraising Plan.
Consider what works and doesn't work.
Think through an Annual Campaign.
Cultivate prospects and donors.
Discuss effective fundraising technology.

Participants will start creating a strategic fundraising plan, expand their fundraising
strategies, and consider technologies that will support their organization's efforts.

This workshop is offered at no cost to the public.

Continental Breakfast provided.

Register NOW at www.sochange.org/fundraisingworkshop, or by email to pgrover@eastern.edu
