In partnership with the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, the Pennsylvania Humanities Council invites individuals to apply for the Arts Commentary: Perspectives on the Arts ($5,000). The program recognizes work in all media and is open to the full range of Pennsylvanians producing interpretive work about the arts. Journalists, broadcast and electronic media professionals, documentary filmmakers, artists, scholars, arts educators, and non-profit professionals are encouraged to apply. Arts Commentary fosters nonfiction work which educates the general public about the contemporary arts. Offering awards for special projects, it promotes arts commentators' endeavors to reach new or larger audiences. Visit www.pahumanities.org for guidelines and application. DEADLINE: AUGUST 4, 2008.
