The O'Donnell-Green Music and Dance Foundation announces a new commissioning program that will fund collaborations between choreographers and composers, culminating in works to be presented in live performance during 2009. The program is open to dance companies in the tri-state region of New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, who may apply for one of 3-6 grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 each. The Foundation requests a preliminary one-page letter of interest, outlining the key collaborators and their backgrounds, production plans, number of dancers and musicians to be involved and any other relevant information about the anticipated project. Letters of interest should be postmarked by AUGUST 15, 2008 and mailed to O'Donnell-Green Music and Dance Foundation, c/o Patrick Kennedy, JPMorgan Chase, 726 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10021. A select number of applicants will be invited to submit full proposals by NOVEMBER 1, 2008, and awards will be made by December 31, 2008.
