Greetings Dance Patrons!!! Please come out and support Khepera Charter School's first dance recital. The Verve Danz Ensemble is an after-school dance program under the direction of Sister Katina Mackey, M.Ed. Show your support for positive youth who have a love for the Performing Arts. Details about this performance are included below (or see attached flyer). I would love to have as many dance enthusiasts in the audience as possible. This is the first theatre production for many of these children! Come and lend us your energy for one night! Asante Sana (Thank You),Sister Katina Mackey, M.Ed. k_mackey01 at hotmail.com Mission Statement The Mission of the Verve Danz Ensemble as a part of Khepera Charter School is to instruct students in the areas of Afrikan, Ballet, Jazz, Praise, and Hip-Hop Dance techniques while providing a safe haven for children after-school. This after-school program is designed for students in grades Kindergarten to 8th who have a high-level of interest in the performing arts. During the program, students are exposed to other genres of the performing arts to create a unique form of dance theatre. Through this art form students learn the value and meaning of discipline, body awareness, and build self-esteem and self-confidence. Dance instruction culminates with an end of the year dance presentation/recital where the students have the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding of dance as a vehicle for self-expression and storytelling. The goal of this program is to groom not only dancers, but well-rounded student performers.

Tickets will be sold after school Monday-Friday from 3:15-5:30pm. A limited amount of tickets will be sold at the door, so don’t miss out!
