Tuesday nights at the Parlor from 7-9pm Sliding scale $5-$15
We are continuing our exploration of Contact in a more open forum for the summer. The evening will begin with a lead warm up and culminate in an open jam, what happens in between will depend on the curiosity of the participants.
We are encouraging people with contact experience to come and work out some of their questions about the form.
Below are the themes we are going to cover over the next few weeks.
July 1st - Balance, especially balancing full weight in precarious positions July 8th - Eyes, creating and utilizing visual contact in the dance July 15th - Rolling, They see me Rollin', they be hatin' July 22nd - August 26th - TBD
Bring your own ideas and gather inspiration for your own works with the help of contact improvisation. Let Contact break your creative funk, or let it release you from the rigors of choreography for a night. Come and point your toes at those around you and create dance just for you every Tuesday night at the Parlor.
