map dance collective is looking for a few more people to show work at SWAP/Exchange on *Sunday, May 4th **. *
*SWAP (Sharing Works and Process) is a new workshop/performance series/thrift store for artists, so if you've got works in progress to show and are interested in critical dialog - SWAP/Exchange is for you. *
*The doors of the Mascher Space Co-Op will open at 5:30pm and showings will begin promptly at 6:00pm. People showing work can arrive as early as 5pm to space things/go over any technical needs, etc. * The setting is very informal.
Each artist has approx. 20 mins to do their thing. This includes receiving live feedback, but we have also started an online blog so that these conversations can continue and deepen over time. You should check out the SWAP Blogs on myspace.com/mapdancecollective to get a better sense of how things work/what we're about.
If you'd like to sign up to show on Sunday, May 4th - send an e-mail to dance.map@gmail.com ASAP. We'll do sign up on a first come-first served basis. We're only looking for 3 more artists to show their work on the 4th. Future SWAP/Exchanges TBA.
If you want to come and give feedback no need to sign up, just bring some kind of offering to the SWAP/shop, whether clothes, cds, dollar donations (to help us save up for the first SWAP/Meet) or delicious treats.
