Exciting and fun, this course offered at 2 levels introduces the basic principles of modern dance with an emphasis on alignment, strength, flexibility and coordination. Classes include elements of jazz dance, hip hop and ballet. Students perform in class to their favorite contemporary music. Whether you are a beginner or have had prior dance experience, this course will enhance the dancer in you. Proper dance attire required: tights and leotard or loose fitting pants and leotard. Classes run for 10 weeks. Early registration is recommended to secure your child's place.

Biography - Victoria McGuigan holds a BFA and M.Ed. in Dance and was awarded the Temple University Dance Educator’s Award and the Ellen Forman Memorial Award. She has worked with children, youth and adults as a dance educator and choreographer extensively in the Philadelphia area and in recent years has developed a program for special needs students called “Dancing Our Difference.” A member of Dance and the Child International and the National Dance Education Organization, her work has been performed within the US and Brazil.
