Hone your creativity, refine your technique, and strengthen your whole body in a weekly Tuesday night class designed specifically for beginner students. Dance Artist Belle Alvarez leads a class for movers ages 14 and up who are curious about dance, love dance, and/or returning to dance. With Belle’s experience within modern and contemporary forms you can expect to engage your muscles, sweat, smile, move to your fullest potential in a shared community space, and perform movement that is expressive, fluid, and fun. No previous dance experience is necessary �" class is designed for Beginner Adult students, but all are encouraged to attend.
Belle Alvarez is a Dance Artist currently based Philadelphia. She teaches in the city’s public and charter schools via award-winning Pierre Dulaine’s Dancing Classrooms and Koresh Dance Company. Performance credits include work by Jillian Harris, Colleen Hooper Performance Projects, Dance Exchange, Charles O. Anderson/Dance Theatre X, Larry Keigwin, Beau Hancock, Evan Hoffman, and Jessica Warchal-King. Belle has presented work in Quito, Ecuador and Auckland, New Zealand. Most recently, Belle choreography has been featured by the Outlet Dance Project, CHI Movement Art Center’s 24th InHale Performance Series, and the Koresh Artist Showcase. Belle earned her BFA in Dance from Temple University.
