Join us for a weeklong workshop or individual classes with Master Teacher and iconic Flamenco artist, Alejandro Granados, who will be visiting from Madrid, Spain.
This Basic Beginner class will focus on Tangos-Technique & Choreography.
About Alejandro Granados:
Alejandro Sainz Granados was born in Madrid in 1961. His initial training was in ballet and he began his career in Zaragoza, where he was trained by famed ballet teacher Maria de Avila. He continued his learning with Paco Fernandez and Manolo Marin. From 1987 to 1990 he performed with the National Ballet of Spain, where he came to stand out out as a choreographer. He also danced as a soloist with the Spanish Ballet in Madrid. He spent three seasons at the Salzburg Festival in Vienna under the direction of Von Karajan. He has worked in plays such as Yerma, directed by Nuria Espert (1996), Picasso flamenco (1996), and A nuestro aire (1998). For many years, he has been running his own dance company in addition to appearing as a guest artist and choreographer with Noche Flamenca. He is a master teacher and has traveled throughout the world teaching at various universities. His most recent collaboration is with Flamenco, Sonidos Gitanos with Maria Bermudez for a U.S. tour.
