This is a class for mamas who want to push themselves safely and find release and relaxation. No experience with yoga needed. All trimesters welcome. Connect deeply to your body, mind, and growing babe. You will learn how to respond intelligently and mindfully to your body's cues and how to use your breath to guide your practice, your pregnancy and prepare you for labor and delivery. Pre-registration is strongly suggested.
Instructor Bio: Emily Tara Sabalbaro believes that the human body and mind are meant to be stretched to their capacity. She is a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor (RYT 200) in Philadelphia with formal training in mantra-based meditation, pre- and post-natal yoga, and trauma-sensitive instruction. She teaches weekly classes of Hatha, Meditation, Vinyasa, Restorative, Yin, and Chair Yoga. Emily first stepped onto a yoga mat in 2004. For seven years, yoga stayed with her through college graduation, job layoffs, breakups, travelling, meeting her partner and moving to Philadelphia. Yoga remained a beautiful reminder that there is more to life than what we see. In 2011, she had been attending yoga class twice a day, enamored by the surrender and how little it asked of her. The owner of the studio pulled her aside to ask if she considered teaching. She immediately began training as an apprentice under the studio owner, Valerie Rushmere of Studio 1831, where she taught for 5 years. After 12 years of practicing yoga, Emily left behind the world of marketing office jobs in 2015 and embarked on a full-time yoga career.
