Burlesque Master Class with Burlesque Legend Coco Lectric

Don't Miss Burlesque Star Coco Lectric teaching for one day only in Philadelphia! Coco Lectric has numerous accolades hiding under her shimmy belt as a featured performer, founder, teacher and producer of all things burlesque. Miss Lectric founded the troupe Jigglewatts Burlesque Austin, Texas, along with the Austin Academy of Burlesque. She's been on Burlesque's Top 50 two years in a row:  13th on the2012 list, and 7th in 2011.  Coco won the title of Queen Of Burlesque at the 2010 New Orleans Burlesque Fest. Seemingly never idle, Coco is also the co-producer of the Texas Burlesque Festival, and has been a featured performer in festivals throughout the US and Canada. She even performed in the Cointreau Presents Dita Von Teese, Tales of the Cocktail, in New Orleans. 

 

Release your inner burlesque starlet with an emphasis of classic dance techniques, statuesque poses and walks, and utilization of props all to sassy, swinging big band music.  The class consists of a variety of stretches and warm-ups based on dance, pilates and yoga, followed by across the floor routines which utilize jazz, ballet and classic bumps and grinds in a short dance combination. For the full experience, please bring high-heeled shoes.

The feathers go flying in this fun review of classic boa technique with a twist. Learn to wear your boa with pride and become a boa wielding pro. Coco also teaches basic dance steps, turns and walks to accompany boa technique. The class includes a short dance combination. Wear comfortable clothing that you can stretch in.
