Taller Puertorriqueño is Hiring a Director of Marketing and Communications. This is a full time position offering a competitive salary that is commensurate with experience. This position is available immediately.

Director of Marketing and Communications Duties:

* Responsible for coordinating all marketing strategies for Taller Puertorriqueño, Inc. its programs and public image. * Develops communication vehicles to promote the Organization’s mission. * Creates, develops and implements distribution of promotional supplies and materials in accordance with the mission and educational philosophy of the organization. * Prepares appropriate promotional materials in support of organization’s approved programs, such as press releases, flyers, etc. * Maintains a current understanding of community educational, arts, social and cultural issues as a creative use for marketing concepts and deliverables. * Plan, develop, and implement strategies to engage internal staff, external partners and service providers, the media, and the public at large in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the work of Taller and its vision * Leads the development and creation of public information projects, which include, among others: Radio Advertisements, Public Service Television Advertisements, Direct Mail Campaign, Promotional Items including the periodic Calendar/Newsletter. * Performs other related duties as assigned.

Position Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in a public relations or marketing field with familiarity in the area of education and the arts is req., related graduate studies being highly desirable. * 1-3 year’s experience in the field of Public Relations Marketing. * Fully bilingual English & Spanish is preferred. * Proficient in keyboard skills and MS office software including minimum of Word, Excel or equivalent and appropriate graphic software. * Knowledge of and interest in Puerto Rican and Latin American art and culture.
