NEW DANCE STUDIO TO OPEN IN MANAYUNK THIS JULY
Announcing The Grand Opening Of Merge Dance Studio In The Manayunk Section Of Philadelphia, PA.

PHILADELPHIA, PA (May 16, 2012): Merge Dance Studio, “Where Dance and Fitness Merge”, will be the first dance studio of its kind in Manayunk. Merge Dance Studio will offer professional dance and fitness instruction to all ages and levels. Merge Dance Studio strives to provide a fun and encouraging learning environment through quality instruction and a varied class schedule. Weekly classes in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern/contemporary, jazz funk/hip-hop, musical theatre dance, Piloxing, and Zumba will begin on July 10, 2012. Merge Dance Studio provides a professional and encouraging environment in which students of all ages and levels can come to study dance, get fit and most of all, have fun.

Merge Dance Studio was founded by Artistic Director, Christa Campbell, in 2012. Christa has lived in Manayunk for the past eight years and over this time realized the need for quality, professional dance training in the area. Christa said, “I wanted to open a studio that would serve everyone in the area from children to young professionals to established adults. Merge Dance Studio is a place where everyone can feel comfortable to come to study dance and take fitness classes whether you have been dancing for years, are just starting out, are looking to get back into it, or are just looking for a fun alternative to your normal workout routine. Manayunk is a great place to live and play. The residents of the area have a great appreciation for the arts and I hope to add to the art scene in the area by providing quality dance and fitness instruction to its residents.” Christa Campbell is highly trained with a degree in dance from Point Park University, over eight years of teaching experience and is still performing professionally throughout the area.

Located at 4047 Cresson St., 2^nd Floor Rear, Philadelphia, PA 19127 in the Manayunk area of Philadelphia, Merge Dance Studio is easily accessible by car, train or by foot. Merge Dance Studio is located one block off of Main Street in the heart of downtown Manayunk. Merge Dance Studio offers a large dance studio with marley flooring and high ceilings as well as waiting and dressing areas. The weekly classes listed above begin on July 10, 2012 with a more comprehensive schedule beginning in Sept. of 2012. Merge Dance Studio will hold an annual recital for all interested classes in June of 2013. They will also offer additional performance opportunities to its more serious students through their performance group which will hold auditions in the fall.

Merge Dance Studio will be holding two open houses to allow everyone to come in to see the space, learn more about its classes and to register for the summer session. The open houses will be on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 and Thursday, June 28, 2012 from 5:00-8:30pm. The studio will also be open to visitors during the Manayunk Arts Festival on June 23 and 24, 2012 from 3:00-5:00pm.
