Philadelphia, PA – PINK HAIR AFFAIR brings you a movement filled night on women’s acceptance; what’s expected of them and what they choose.

The question of who we are is something we may not ask ourselves everyday. Maybe we believe we know the answer, but if we are honest with ourselves we may admit that it is something that we are still developing. We may find new qualities and ideas to discover in one’s self as life sends us obstacles. It may even be a question that many are struggling to answer. In this beautiful story, we watch these ladies through their ups and downs as they love, hate, passion and angst while depicting their journey of self-discovery.

PINK HAIR AFFAIR presents Let the Night Be Dark for its second showing, this year in a formal theater setting at the Painted Bride Art Center. The ladies of PINK HAIR AFFAIR performed this piece last fall at Mascher Space, directed and choreographed by Kaleigh Jones. “It has always been my dream to put my work on the Painted Bride stage. The space makes me feel so free as an artist and performer. It’s so intimate, yet formal; welcoming all kinds of artists. The walls speak to me, giving off an energy that makes me feel safe to be exactly who I am as an artist.”
