Is Tourette syndrome a disorder, or a form of creative intelligence in disguise? On Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8, at 8:00 p.m. in the Painted Bride Arts Center, the multidisciplinary group of performers and presenters Band of Artists investigates this idea with Philly Fringe audiences in "Tourettes: A Dancing Disorder." In a 90-minute presentation that combines scientific research with modern dance, music and video, Band of Artists traverses the traditional classifications of "art" and "health-event." ...more

Produced by tap dancer and choreographer Pamela Hetherington, the concert will feature professional tap dancers Michele Dunleavy, Germaine Ingram, and Darrell Williams, along with Philadelphia-based modern dancer Leah Stein and London-based Bharatanatyam dancer, Suparna Banerjee.
