Advanced Tango - Philadelphia Argentine Tango School

The Philadelphia Argentine Tango School's weekly advanced class helps students take the basic elements of tango - walking, pivots, ochos, sacadas, boleos, ganchos, paradas, etc. - and learn to combine them in more complex ways. Persistent themes include: technique for lead-and-follow improvisation; musicality at the level of the beat, the phrase and the whole tango, vals or milonga; and developing an understanding tango structure so that dancers may create their own sequences and improvise fluidly.

Cost: $25 or use you class card

The class is followed by the Palermo Fishtown Practica with awesome guest DJs, refreshments and fun. Practica: 9 pm-midnight (included in the cost of the class)
